Communication

HOME / School Districts / Communication

MacNeal School works closely with referring school districts.  There is an ongoing relationship with the school district throughout the student’s enrollment at MacNeal School.  The Academic Coordinators ensure that the home school district is frequently updated regarding the student’s progress.

Communication with the home school district is handled in a number of ways:

  • Annual review / MDC
  • Regular phone contact
  • District open house
  • Progress reviews per request
  • Written individual grade reports each grading period

There are two Academic Coordinators and one CAPP Coordinator available to school districts for coordination of all educational services.  They are also available to do outreach at the home school districts.

MacNeal School is open to have school district personnel visit their students.  Such visits are asked to be coordinated in advance with the Academic Coordinators.  MacNeal School is available for referring district personnel to conduct evaluations required for 3-year re-evaluations.  MacNeal School administers the Stanford Achievement Test to all appropriate students in the fall of the school year.  ISAT testing is also administered at MacNeal School.
